Rewiring Systems for Equity
UC Berkeley EC3 is partnering to redesign how California supports its youngest children and families—by turning bold ideas into real systems change. We work across disciplines—education, health, psychology, economics, and policy—to co-create structural innovations with public partners and communities. We bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and families to design, pilot, and scale solutions that make early childhood systems more equitable, integrated, and effective.
Our Engine
At the heart of E3C is the Systems Solutions Lab—a collaborative engine where data, research, and lived experience converge to drive innovation. We pair rigorous methods with cross-sector partnerships to uncover what works, for whom, and under what conditions. Working side by side with families, educators, community organizations, and government agencies, we co-design, pilot, and scale strategies that dismantle structural barriers and rewire systems for equity.
